Lots of Local School Board Spots Up For Election in New Year

School board elections will take place on May 3 of next year. The first day to file for a place on the ballot will be Jan. 15. The last day to file is Feb. 14. Listed below are the election details for each of the five public school districts in Fayette County. Unless noted otherwise the board members serve three year terms.

La Grange ISD

Three seats on the La Grange ISD Board of Trustees will be up for election next year. The incumbents are:

• Place 1 - Anthony Wessels

• Place 2 - Dr. Travis Ulrich

• Place 3 - Mary White Gunn Schulenburg ISD

Two at-large seats on the Schulenburg ISD Board of Trustees will be up for election next year. The incumbents are:

• Joel “Boone” Blansitt

• Shannon Hollas Flatonia ISD

Three seats on the Flatonia ISD Board of Trustees will be up for election next year. The incumbents are as follows:

• Place 1 - Tim Rowell

• Place 2 - Jessica Morreil

• Place 3 - Dan Sullivan Fayetteville ISD

Two seats on the Fayetteville ISD Board of Trustees will be up for election next year. The incumbents are:

• Place 3 - Mark Schmitt

• Place 7 - Rodney Beseda Round Top-Carmine ISD

Four seats on the Round Top-Carmine ISD Board of Trustees will be up for election next year. The board members serve four-year terms. The incumbents are as follows:

• Place 1 - Calvin Krause

• Place 2 - Al Gross

• Place 6 - Jason Wagner

• Place 7 - Clint Eilers
