Locals Hang Out With Manning, Longhorns After Blowout Victory
Jimmy Dwigans of La Grange said he’s been a Longhorn fan since he was a little boy.
So he jumped at the chance to go to last Saturday’s University of Texas football game, when his nephew Chip Bubela of Schulenburg invited him.
Dwigans enjoyed watching the Longhorns beat San Jose State 38-7 but things got even better when Chip’s passes allowed them to go on the field after the game and into the locker room.
They got to meet head coach Steve Sarkisian – “he was nice but seemed kinda upset that they didn’t play better.”
They also got to spend time with quarterback Arch Manning, who Dwigans said was really polite and gracious with his time and even posed for photos with them.
“It was one of the most awesome experiences I’ve ever had,” Dwigans sad.
