Local Woman Still Missing; Texas Rangers Now Involved
The whereabouts of a local woman who went missing last week remain unknown as of Monday morning, April 6.
Viviana “Vivi” Ortiz-Zuniga, 39 of Fayetteville, disappeared on Wednesday, April 2. Ortiz-Zuniga has black hair and is 5’8” and approximately 140 lbs. She was last seen in Fayetteville wearing a pink “Orsak” shirt, hoop earrings, jeans and tennis shoes.
Chief Deputy Randy Noviskie of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office told the Record last Friday that the Texas Rangers are now involved in the investigation. The Austin County Sheriff’s Office recovered her vehicle in Austin County on Saturday. The Texas Rangers are searching the vehicle for evidence, Noviskie said.
