LHS Band Honored by City Council

La Grange Mayor Jan Dockery signed a proclamation recognizing the La Grange High School Band for their performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City on March 10. The band received a Gold Standard award, the highest honor, for their performance. Director of Bands Chris Cooper thanked the community for the tremendous financial support that made the trip possible. Students and parents raised nearly $170,000 for travel and lodging accommodations.
