LGPD’s Sgt. Anderson Set to Retire

La Grange Police Sergeant Travis Anderson will retire in July.

Anderson started with the City in 2005. Prior to that, he served 21 years with the Houston Police Department. Anderson’s career spans 38 years in law enforcement.

Anderson also serves as the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of La Grange. La Grange Fire Chief and Assistant City Manager Frank Menefee will succeed Anderson in that role.

The La Grange City Council appointed Menefee at a meeting Monday night, April 25. Before stepping down, Anderson will oversee one last big event: the MS150 Bike Ride that takes place this weekend.
