LGPD Responds to Family Violence Call

La Grange Police David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Dec. 29-Jan 5.

Family Bodily injury

On Jan. 2, Officer Brett Meinardus was dispatched to the 600 block of S. Jefferson where caller had stated a subject sent him a message to contact the police and that she was hurt. Subject stated she was the victim of family violence. The subject was arrested.

Family Violence

On Dec. 30, Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Lowerline regarding family violence.

Assault by Threat

On Dec. 30, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 400 block of N. Jefferson for report of an assault.

Agency Assist

On Dec. 31, Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to an agency assist in the 3000 block of Cedar Creek.

On Dec. 31, Keeney responded to the 3000 block of Cedar Creek for an agency assist. Accident

On Dec. 31, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Colorado for a two-vehicle accident. A citation was issued.

On Dec. 3, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the intersection of US Hwy. 77 for an accident.

Animal Complaint

On Dec. 31, Officer Mitchell Maxwell checked the 1000 block of N. Horton on an animal complaint.

On Jan. 1, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis regarding an animal complaint.

On Jan. 4, Officer Noah Geer was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Colorado regarding an animal complaint.

Civil Matter

On Jan. 4, Geer was dispatched to the 1500 block of W. Hwy. 71 Business regarding a civil matter.

City Ordinance Violation On Dec. 31, Maxwell responded to the 900 block of Mode Lane regarding fireworks.

On Jan. 1, Geer was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline regarding a city ordinance violation.

On Jan. 5, Geer was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Colorado regarding people squatting at that location.

DWI

On Dec. 30, Geer arrested one subject in the 200 block of E. Travis for driving while intoxicated.

Theft

On Jan. 2, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Lester regarding a theft.

On Jan. 3, Haynie was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. Hwy. 71 business regarding a theft.

On Jan. 3, Geer was dispatched to the 100 block of S.

Brown regarding a theft.

Disturbance

On Jan. 4, Geer was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington regarding a disturbance.

On Jan. 4, Haynie was dispatched to the 1100 block of N. Jefferson regarding a family disturbance.

Found Property

On Jan. 3, Geer checked out a location in the 800 block of E. Travis regarding a suspicious package.

Littering

On Jan. 5, Geer was dispatched to the 500 block of

N. Alley regarding someone dumping in the dumpster.

Loud Music

On Jan. 1, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Live oak regarding loud music.

Loitering

On Dec. 31, Archerd spoke with a subject regrading loitering in the 1900 W. State Hwy. 71 Business.

Prostitution

On Jan. 2, Maxwell spoke to a subject regarding suspicious circumstances in the 200 block of S. Ellinger.

Public Intoxication

On Jan. 3, Maxwell arrested a subject in the 300 block of N. River for public intoxication.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle On Jan. 3, Haynie checked on a suspicious person in the 1300 block of N. Jefferson.

Vehicle Break In

On Jan. 5 Geer was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Pearl regarding a vehicle break in.

Welfare Check

On Dec. 31, Keeney responded to the 100 block of W. Colorado for a welfare check.
