LG Officers Respond to Several Disturbances Week of May 15-22

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 15-22.

Animal Complaint

On May 16, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Horton for dogs barking at something. Officer was unable to locate a problem.

On May 16, Patrolman John Wostarek responded to the 300 block of Diers for a fawn near individuals shed. Officer advised the fawn would leave on its own.

On May 17, Patrolman Justin Koehne was dispatched to the 1300 block of Hwy. 71 Business for a injured deer.

On May 19, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of Docekal in reference to a continuing animal complaint. Officer found owner of dog and issued a citation for dog at large.

On May 19, Patrolman Brett Meinardus was notified a cow was out in the 1000 block of N. Madison. The cow was returned to pasture by citizens patrol individual.

On May 20, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager checked on bees in the 2100 block of Oak Ridge.

On May 20, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell spoke to caller about an animal complaint in the 1100 block of Chapparal Rd.

Civil Matter

On May 17, Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Monroe in regard to a civil matter.

On May 19, Chief David Gilbreath responded to the 700 block of E. Guadalupe where complainant had loaned her vehicle to her ex husband and now he refuses to return the vehicle.

Disturbance

On May 15, Currington was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison for a subject walking around yelling. Officer arrived and subject stopped.

On May 15, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call of a possible disturbance in the 1000 block of N. Madison.

On May 17, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to a disturbance. Caller advised one of the parties had a gun.

On May 18, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to a male subject throwing items in his apartment. Officer arrived on location and spoke with the male subject was advised to stop throwing things in his apartment.

On May 19, Meinardus responded to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a verbal disturbance. Subject left location before officer’s arrival.

On May 20, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to a noise complaint. Officer arrived on location and spoke with a male subject. Subject was advised to quiet down.

On May 20, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to a noise complaint. Officer upon arrival spoke with a male subject. Subject was advised to quiet down for the evening.

On May 21, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to an irate subject.

On May 21, Patrolman Thomas Keeney responded to One St. Marks place in response to a subject arguing and not leaving.

Harassment

On May 18, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to a subject knocking on callers door. Officer arrived on location and spoke with a male subject.

Juvenile Complaint

On May 20, Keeney responded to the 600 block of E. Milam for an incident at the elementary school.

On May 21, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Colorado in regards to a juvenile complaint.

Reckless Driving

On May 20, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1000 block of S. Jefferson in regards to a reckless driver.

Suspicious Vehicle/Subject

On May 16, Keeney responded to the 500 block of E. Travis in response to a vehicle parked for over four hours.

On May 19, Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 for a suspicious vehi cle behind the business. Vehicle had a flat tire and was waiting on help.

Theft

On May 17, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Horton in regard to theft of a license plate.

Traffic Hazard

On May 21, Wostarek observed a vehicle parked in the roadway in the 1700 block of Hwy. 71 Business. Subject advised that the trailer had a tire blowout. Subject moved vehicle off the roadway after speaking with the officer.

Welfare Check

On May 19, Anderson received a call to check on a male sitting on the curb in the 200 block of N. Main.

On May 21, Keeney responded to the 100 block of N. Washington to check on the welfare of a person.

On May 21, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Colorado in regard to a welfare check.
