The La Grange Knights of Columbus will host a drivethru only Fish Fry Fundraiser Friday, March 7 and March 14 from 4-6 p.m. at the La Grange K of C Community Center located at 190 S. Brown St. in La Grange. The meal will consist of fried fish, hushpuppies, cole slaw, pinto beans and buttered potatoes for $15 per plate. The meal is on a first come, first served basis.
FCCT Auditions

Cancer Benefit
A cancer benefit for Janettee Stanley will be held on Saturday, March 8 at Popz Star Bar located at in 982 E. Travis St. in La Grange. A pork steak meal to-go will be served from 11 a.m - 1 p.m. for $15. A 50/50 raffle and silent auction will also be held beginning at 5 p.m. with DJ Big Kountry from 7-11 p.m. All money raised will help Janette with medical bills and expenses. There’s more Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill State Historic Sites are excited to welcome the new Spring season with the third annual Spring Break on the Bluff, a family-friendly series of programs showcasing the sites’ unique history. Running from Saturday, March 8 through Sunday, March 16, this event offers nine days of activities inspired by 19th-century crafts, food practices, and pastimes. Each program will be held from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and is included with sites admission.
Holy Smokers Barbecue and Bake Sale
The St. James Episcopal Men’s Club (Holy Smokers) will hold a barbecue and the Women will hold a bake sale Saturday, March 8, from 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. or until sold out, at 156 N. Monroe St. across from H-E-B in La Grange. A half chicken is $6 and sausage link is $7, drive through only. This barbecue is for the benefit of the Texas Ramp Project.
Bingo in Ledbetter
Bingo for Seniors 60 and older plus guests will be held at the Ledbetter Community Center on Sunday, March 9 from 2-4 p.m. Doors open at 1:15 p.m. $5 card covers all games with prizes awarded for each game. Chips/snacks and drinks will be available for free-will donation.
American Legion, Auxiliary Post Meeting The American Legion Post No. 102 and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 102 will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 12 at 6 p.m. at the VFW Home located at Veterans Memorial Drive at the Fair Grounds in La Grange. Members are encouraged to attend and help celebrate the American Legion Veterans Organizations’ 106th Birthday. The first American Legion caucus convened in Paris, France on March 15, 1919. The Post and Unit are looking to increase membership, so interested Veterans and Auxiliary are welcome to attend.

Sages & Saints Presents Beware of Scams New Life Methodist Church in La Grange Sages & Saints will present Beware of Scams with Sergeant Angela Lala on Thursday, March 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. She has been with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office for more than 18 years. Some of her many duties at the Sheriff’s Office include supervising the Criminal Investigations Division where she is over the Investigators, the Undercover Narcotics Unit, and the Crisis Intervention Investigator. Lala has been a dedicated hardworking leader and supervisor, which has helped this agency be on a straight path to success in serving the Fayette County community. There will be a pot-luck in conjunction, please bring a dish to share. Join in the fellowship hall and bring a friend.
Annual Plant and Gift Sale
The Pioneer Unit of the Herb Society of America is holding its annual plant and gift sale Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. There will be a wide variety of bedding plants, herbs, shrubs, roses, succulents, and more. The gift shop will have lovely garden gifts, food items, books and other treasures. Annual Herbal Forum
You can be a part of Unlocking the Mysteries of Herb Superpowers at the Pioneer Unit’s annual herbal forum. With expert speakers on topics such as restoring biodiversity to your soil and the healing chemicals of herbs, this day-long forum includes a herb-infused luncheon and demonstrations and interactions with the speakers. It will be held Saturday, March 15, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Registration is required. Find out more at festivalhill.org/events Flatonia-Cistern Farm Bureau Meeting Flatonia-Cistern Farm Bureau Dinner and 2025 quarterly meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 18, at the American Legion Hall in Flatonia. Social hour will start at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be David Urban, Bookkeeping and Tax Services. A business meeting will follow the potluck meal. Members are asked to bring a meat casserole, salad, or a dessert dish.

Ukulele Group Lessons
The Round Top Family Library partnering with Arts for Rural Texas will host free Ukulele Group Lessons for ages 8 and up. Instructor will be Debbie Bridgewater.
