LG City Hall Modifies Business Hours

The City of La Grange modified its business hours for City Hall along with a few other offices.

The business hours at City Hall were 7:45 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Friday. City Hall will now be open 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. on Friday.

City Manager Jack Thompson requested the change at the City Council meeting Monday night, Jan. 27. He said the new hours will give residents some extra time in the morning to conduct business at City Hall before 8 a.m. In addition, it will allow City Hall employees to start their weekends a little earlier on Fridays.

The change also applies to the administrative staff at the Police Department and the Recreation Center director. Street, utility and parks crews will maintain their existing work schedule.
