LCRA Employees Help Locally For the Second Week in a Row

For the second consecutive Friday, Lower Colorado River Authority employees spread out across Texas to tackle community improvement projects during LCRA’s annual Steps Forward Day Now in its 11th year, the volunteer initiative brought teams to parks, trails and public spaces throughout the LCRA service area, painting fences, planting gardens, clearing brush and refreshing playgrounds.

The day of service builds on LCRA’s long tradition of hands-on community engagement.

Community projects completed in our area on April 17:

• La Grange - Painting the restrooms at White Rock and Kruschel parks.

• Lexington - Painting the gazebo in Heritage Square.

• Schulenburg - Painting bridges, entrance ramp rails and the pier at Schonest-Welt Park.

• Smithville - Painting the fence at Vemon L. Richards Riverbend Park.

LCRA completed projects on April 10 in Austin, Bastrop, Bay City, Brady Buchanan Dam, Cuero, Dripping Springs, Flatonia, Fredericksburg, Giddings, Goldthwaite, Granite Shoals, Kerrville, La Grange, Lockhart, Marble Falls, Mcrestrooms Camey, Oakalla, Pflugerville, Round Rock, San Angelo, San Marcos, San Saba, Waelder and Weimar.
