Late Night Traffic Stops Lead to Three Felony Narcotics Arrests

On Monday, April 4 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Deputy Moore initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy. 90 at Popp Ln. in Schulenburg.

After further investigation, 36-year-old Brandon Tovar of Flatonia, was arrested for Tampering with physical evidence, a third degree felony, and possession of methamphetamine. Additionally the driver of the vehicle, Kimberly Velasquez 42, of Flatonia was arrested for possession of a larger amount of methamphetamine. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also located inside of the vehicle.

Shortly after, on Tuesday at approximately 1:15 a.m. Sgt. Ryan Meagher conducted a traffic stop on I-10 eastbound near mile marker 678 for a traffic violation. The driver, identified as 30-year-old Rudy Anthony Aguilar of San Antonio, was found to be in possession of black tar heroin. Aguilar was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance a third degree felony.
