La Grange Police Respond to Reported Burglary
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the weeks of June 29-July 13.
Accident
On July 1, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Travis regarding a two-vehicle accident.
On July 3, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Horton regarding an accident.
On July 7, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis for an auto accident.
On July 8, Wostarek was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place regarding an accident.
On July 9, Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a two-vehicle accident.
On July 9, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis regarding a vehicle striking a light pole.
Animal Complaint
On June 29, Darrell Armstead was dispatched to the 1200 block of N. Von Minden regarding a citizen assist for an animal stuck in a drain.
On July 2, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding an animal complaint.
On July 8, Officer Darrell Armstead was dispatched to the 100 block of Joy Street for an animal complaint service call.
Citizen Assist
On July 3, Armstead was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Jefferson for a citizen assist.
Civil Matter
On July 3, Officer Curtis Zwahr spoke with a caller in the 700 block of N. Franklin for a civil matter.
On July 5, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 600 block of E. Pecan for a civil matter.
On July 6, Archerd spoke with a caller in the 700 block of S. Jefferson regarding a civil matter.

Driving While Intoxicated
On June 29, Armstead conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of N. Jefferson and arrested a subject for DWI.
Reckless Driving
On July 8, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Brown regarding a reckless driver.
Disturbance
On July 1, Officer Noah Geer was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Fannin regarding a disturbance.
On July 2, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Fannin regarding a disturbance.
On On July 10, Archerd was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington regarding a disturbance.
Family Disturbance
On July 3, Officer Brett Meinardus was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Horton for a verbal disturbance between subjects. Parties were separated and CPS was notified.
Harassment
On June 30, Archerd was dispatched to the 200 block of S. College regarding harassment.
On July 4, Meinardus spoke with caller that reported receiving text messages from an unknown number multiple times a night.
Public Intoxication
On July 1, Haynie was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington regarding a disturbance and one subject was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
Suspicious Vehicle/Person On June 30, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Camp regarding a suspicious vehicle.
On July 2, Zwahr checked on multiple subjects in the 700 block of N. Horton.
On July 3, Sgt. Mitchell Maxwell checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 On July 3, Maxwell checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of Mode Lane.
On July 8, Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to the 100 block of E. Fannin regarding a suspicious person.
On July 10, Archerd was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Franklin regarding a suspicious vehicle.
On July 11, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis for a suspicious person. Welfare Check
On July 3, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of Sunset regarding a welfare check.
On July 7, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of Hwy. 159 regarding a welfare check.
On July 7, Zwahr performed a welfare check in the 700 block of N. Franklin. All was fine.
Burglary of a Business
On July 13, Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis regarding a burglary of a business.
Theft
On July 8, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business where individual requested cash back they left unattended in machine. Money was taken by an unknown subject when they returned.
Trespassing
On July 9, Officer Noah Geer was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Fannin regarding trespassing.
