La Grange Police Respond to Reported Assault
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of April 10-17:
Assault
On April 14, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 100 block of E. Milam for an assault.
Accident
On April 11, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 2200 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.
On April 11, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for a minor accident with no injuries.
On April 11, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for a minor accident with no injuries and on private property.
On April 14, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 in regards to a traffic accident.
On April 14, Keeney responded to the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in response to a minor traffic accident.
Animal Complaint
On April 12, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call of three loose dogs in the 300 block of N. Monroe and upon arrival is was found the dogs had been placed back in their fenced yard.

On April 10, Officer David Mohr assisted the Sheriff’s department with a suspicious person call in the 1100 block of Bending Rd.
Civil Matter
On April 10, Mohr received a call of a civil dispute in the 1400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business and upon arrival officer had subjects leave the property.
On April 11, Meinardus responded to the 800 block of N. Madison for a child custody issue between husband and wife.
Criminal Mischief
On April 11, Meinardus took a report of criminal mischief in the 1600 block of N. Jefferson.
Citizen Assist
On April 15, Anderson received a call for a large water leak in the 200 block of N. Monroe.
Disturbance
On April 14, Keeney responded to the 300 block of N Monroe in response to a disturbance.
On April 14, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of Svoboda in regards to an irate customer.
Fraud
On April 14, Investigator Troy Stevens spoke with complainant at the police station who advised his brother was using his identity when being stopped for traffic violations.
Juvenile Complaint
On April 14, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Live Oak in regards to a juvenile complaint.
Loud Music
On April 16, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Main for loud music. Officer advised subjects to turn down the music.
Minor in Possession
On April 10, Keeney performed a traffic stop in the 900 block of E. Travis and found minors in possession of alcohol.
Runaway
On April 10, Keeney responded to the 600 block of S. Madison for a report of a runaway.
Reckless Driving
On April 16, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Horton for a report of racing vehicles. Officer checked the area and could not locate any racing vehicles.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On April 12, Currington observed vehicles at a business after hours in the 300 block of S. Reynolds and made contact with owner who was working late.
On April 14, Mohr received a call to have a subject removed from property in the 300 block of N. Monroe. The complainant then decided not to have them removed.
Trespassing
On April 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of N. River in regard to a male subject on the railroad tracks. Officer arrived on location and searched the area but was unable to locate the male subject.
On April 13, Mohr received a call of criminal trespass in the 100 block of Meadow.
On April 13, Stevens responded to the 1800 block of State Hwy. 71 Business for subjects sleeping in the portable buildings.
Theft
On April 12, Anderson received a call in regards to a possible theft in the 2200 block of W. State Hwy 71 Business.
Welfare Check
On April 10, Mohr responded to a welfare check in the 400 block of Sherwood.
On April 14, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Colorado in regards to a welfare check.
On April 14, Keeney responded to the 300 block of N. Jefferson in response to complainant seeing smoke.
On April 15, Currington responded to the 100 block of E. Pearl for welfare check and subject was fine and had activated the mobile health by accident.
On April 15, Anderson responded to the 200 block of E. Guadalupe for a welfare concern.
On April 16, Anderson responded to a welfare check in the 900 block of E. Eblin.
