La Grange Police Respond to Missing Person Calls
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Feb. 13-20.
Missing Person
On Feb. 13, Mohr received a call of a missing kid that came back to the house prior to officers’ arrival in the 500 block of W. Lowerline.
On Feb. 13, Mohr received a call of a missing person in the 900 block of E. Fannin. While taking the information the missing person arrived at the house.
On Feb. 14, Mohr received a call of a missing person and upon investigating was able to locate the person in Houston and was safe.
Alarm
On Feb. 13, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis in regard to an alarm. Found the building to be secure.
On Feb. 16, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to he 500 block of N. Jefferson in regard to an alarm. All found to be secure.
On Feb. 19, Currington was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis for an alarm. The employees were opening the store and set the alarm off by mistake.
Accident
On Feb. 15, Officer David Mohr received a call of a twovehicle accident in the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. Business. No injuries
On Feb. 18, Currington was dispatched to the 1700 block of Hwy.71 west for a vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
Animal Complaint
On Feb. 13, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager checked on two dogs running loose in the 600 block of N. Washington. Owner put dogs back in yard.
Theft
On Feb. 18, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Travis for theft.
Assault
On Feb. 19, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison for assault.
Criminal Mischief
On Feb. 14, Mohr received a call of criminal mischief in the 600 block of E. Pearl.
On Feb. 19, Currington responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in reference to criminal mischief.
Citizen Assist
On Feb. 16, Currington spoke with a subject in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business, in regard to getting an escort at closing time since the parking lot lights are out.
Found Property
On Feb. 16, Anderson received a call for found property in the 100 block of N. Water.
Fraud
On Feb. 18, Currington spoke with a subject in reference to a scam in the 500 block of S. Washington.
On Feb. 15, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in reference to credit card abuse.
Harassment
On Feb. 19, Currington spoke with a subject about possible text harassment.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Feb. 14, Mohr received a call of a suspicious person selling soap door to door in the 100 block of S. Franklin. Located and identified subjects.
On Feb. 14, Currington responded to the 100 block of N. Water for a subject with a flashlight outside a business. Officer arrived and checked the building, which was secure and subject was gone.
On Feb. 14, Mohr received a call of a suspicious person in the 400 block of E Colorado. Officer Mohr identified the person and call cleared.
On Feb.14, Anderson responded to the 600 block of E. State Hwy.71 for a suspicious male at the location.
On Feb. 15, Currington was dispatched to the 600 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass for suspicious subject. Officer contacted the clerk who advised the subject had already left.
On Feb. 15, Mohr received a call of a possible domestic issue in the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business
On Feb. 16, Officer Justin Koehne responded to the 1700 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a suspicious person. Subject was not located.
On Feb. 16, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regards to a suspicious person. Subject left prior to officers’ arrival.
On Feb. 19, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Colorado for a suspicious subject. Officer located the subject who advised they were fine.
Terroristic Threat
On Feb. 18, Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business where the caller stated that they were involved in an argument with a subject they work with and he told them he would fight them. Subject stated that he was only joking around. Caller did not wish to press charges and only wanted the incident documented.
Warrant Arrest
On Feb. 17, Wostarek arrested a subject for an outstanding felony warrant in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.
Welfare Check On Feb. 16, Anderson re
On Feb. 16, Anderson responded to W. Bluffview for a welfare check.
On Feb. 17, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in regard to a welfare check. Officer arrived on location and spoke with a female subject. Female advised all was fine.
On Feb. 17, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2200 block of Hwy.71 Business in regard to a welfare check.
On Feb. 17, Koehne was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Travis in reference to a male subject in the parking lot screaming at his motorcycle. Subject was gone when officer arrived.
Miscellaneous
On Feb. 14, Currington spoke to a subject who wanted another subject to leave in the 600 block of N. Jefferson.
On Feb. 16, Investigator Troy Stevens responded to the 300 block of Wood Hollow where complaint advised her child ran away.
