La Grange Police Respond to Animal Complaints

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of April 3-10.

Animal Complaint

On April 3, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a dog that was locked in a vehicle. Vehicle was gone upon officers arrival.

On April 4, Officer John Wostarek responded to the 500 block of E. Fannin for a snake in the yard. Officer removed the snake to a different location.

On April 4, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager picked up two dogs and talked to owner in the 200 block of Cynthia.

On April 5, Ahlschlager checked on dogs in the 800 block of S. Jefferson and spoke with owner.

On April 9, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 700 block of N. Franklin for a loose puppy.

Accident

On April 5, Officer John Wostarek responded to the 200 block of E. Vine for an accident.

On April 5, Officer Justin Koehne worked a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of S. Franklin.

On April 6, Meinardus was advised of a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of S. Jefferson.

On April 7, Meinardus responded to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass for a minor accident in the parking lot.

On April 8, Koehne worked an auto pedestrian accident in the 100 block of E. Pearl.

On April 8, Officer David Mohr received a call of a two vehicle hit and run accident in the 1900 block of Hwy. 159.

Assault

On April 6, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place for a possible assault. Officer made contact and collected information.

Alarm

On April 4, Koehne checked on an alarm in the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.

On April 6, Meinardus responded to an alarm in the 300 block of E. Travis.

Burglary of a Vehicle

On April 8, Keeney spoke with complainant about an item taken from a car in the 900 block of Mode Ln.

Disturbance

On April 3, Mohr received a call of two people arguing in the 1900 block of Hwy. 159.

On April 3, Keeney was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Madison for a male and female fighting in the street.

On April 8, Koehne spoke with a caller in the 100 block of E. Milam about a neighbor about a disagreement they were having.

Family Disturbance

On April 9, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of Rose Mayer Loop in regard to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with several subjects. Subjects were separated for the night. One subject was issued a citation.

Fraud

On April 9, Keeney responded to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 for someone trying to use fake identification.

Civil Matter

On April 4, Wostarek spoke with a caller in regard to a civil matter.

Juvenile Complaint

On April 8, Wostarek spoke with a caller in the 100 block of N.W. Circle in regard to a juvenile complaint.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On April 5, Mohr responded to the 700 block of N. Washington for a suspicious vehicle.

On April 5, Wostarek was dispatched to the 600 block of E. state Hwy. 71 bypass in regard to a suspicious person in the parking lot. Officer upon arrival was unable to locate the person.

On April 8, Keeney responded to the 100 block of W. Colorado regarding a suspicious vehicle.

Trespassing

On April 7, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Camp for a subject and they were advised to leave.

On April 7, Keeney responded to the 700 block of N. Washington for a subject trespassing at the location.

On April 9, Mohr responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for an unruly female subject in the store and manager wanted a criminal trespass warning.
