La Grange Police Report

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Feb. 6-14:

Assault

On Feb. 12, Officer David Mohr received a call of an assault in the 200 block of E. Travis

Alarm

On Feb. 8, Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for an alarm. The business was open and no signs of forced entry were found.

Accident

On Feb. 8, Zwahr responded to the 1800 block of Hwy. 159 for damaged property. On Feb. 10, Officer Kevin

On Feb. 10, Officer Kevin Currington responded to the 100 block of W. Travis for an accident.

On Feb. 12, Officer Justin Koehne met with a driver involved in an accident near Ellinger in the 1700 block of W. State Hwy. 71. Driver was issued a blue form.

Abandoned Vehicle

On Feb. 8, Zwahr spoke to a subject in the 800 block of E. Travis for an abandoned vehicle on the property.

Counterfeit Money

On Feb. 10, Currington responded to the 2400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for counterfeit bill.

Disturbance

On Feb. 8, Zwahr responded tote 2300 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a disturbance. Parties were separated.

On Feb. 9, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 1000 block of Sunset Ln. for subjects having an argument. Subject left location and located later and released to daughter.

Fraud

On Feb. 8, Zwahr spoke with an individual in the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to fraudulent checks.

Loitering

On Feb. 11, Koehne checked on subjects loitering in the parking lot in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.

Public Intoxication

On Feb. 6, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to an intoxicated male attempting to enter the Wal-Mart, which was closed. Subject was arrested.

Scam

On Feb. 10, Currington spoke with a subject about an attempted scam in the 400 block of N. Madison.

Suspicious Person

On Feb. 8, Zwahr was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Pearl for a suspicious person walking down the road. Officer was unable to locate.

Trespassing

On Feb. 7, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of S. Monroe where complainant advised that a subject entered their house and was asked by son to leave and subject complied. Complainant requested a criminal trespass. On Feb. 9, Meinardus re

On Feb. 9, Meinardus responded to the 800 block of E. Milam for a subject that was at the location and they did not want them there. Officer met with the subject and issued a criminal trespass warning.

On Feb. 12, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Eckel in regard to a subject that was trespassing. Officer arrived on location and the subject had left prior to officers’ arrival.

Welfare Check

On Feb. 8, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Horton in regard to a welfare check on a male subject. Officer arrived on location and checked on the subject and the subject advised he was fine.
