La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 12-19.
Assault
On July 15, Officer Jose Garza spoke with complainant at the police station regarding a citation for assault by contact. Accident
On July 13, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 1300 block of N. Jefferson for an accident.
On July 18, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the intersection of E. Travis and Franklin regarding an accident. Animal Complaint
On July 12, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 400 block of Hope Avenue for a loose dog. Officer took dog to the animal shelter.
On July 15, Animal Control officer Leslie Yezakl responded to the 900 block of E. Pearl for an agency assist and dog surrender.
Civil Matter
On July 17, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 300 block of Northpointe regarding a civil matter.
On July 18, Haynie was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Crockett for a civil matter.
Citizen Assist
On July 16, Meinardus responded to the 1600 block of W. State Hey. 71 Business where caller advised they were using a charger and was locked inside the dealership.
Discharging Firearm
On July 19, Officer Adrian Ortiz was dispatched to the 1900 block of Highway 159 regarding a possible firearm being discharged.
Disturbance
On July 19, Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Main for a disturbance.
On July 19, Ortiz was dispatched to the 100 block of Meadow Lane regarding a disturbance.
On July 15, Garza met with complainant in reference to a possible phone scam.
Fire
On July 13, Ortiz was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Cynthia regarding a structure fire.
Found Property
On July 12, Meinardus found property in the 200 block of E. Fannin and returned to owner.
Harassment
On July 13, Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis regarding harassment. Littering
On July 17, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Eblin regarding littering.
Lost Item
On July 18, Haynie was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding a lost item.
Loud Vehicle
On July 12, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of Cindy Lane for loud vehicle exhaust.
Parking Violation
On July 19, Sgt. Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis in reference to a parking complaint. Road Hazard
On July 17, Haynie was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Franklin for a road hazard.
Scam
On July 17, Archerd was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Colorado regarding a scam.
On July 17, Haynie was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Upperline regarding a scam.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On July 16, Garza responded to the 1000 block of E. Travis for a suspicious vehicle on property.
On July 16, Garza responded to the 200 block of W. Colorado for juveniles riding electric bikes on sidewalks.
On July 17, Ortiz was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 regarding a suspicious magnetic device.
Theft
On July 13, Haynie responded to the 100 block of Joe Hoeffer Circle and took information for a theft at the location.
On July 16, Garza responded to the 100 block of W. Travis for a returned stolen U-Haul trailer.
On July 18, Haynie spoke with a subject regarding a theft in the 700 block of S. Reynolds.
On July 19, Haynie met with a subject in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding a theft.
