La Grange Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Nov. 23-30.
Animal Complaint
On Nov. 25, Animal Control Officer Leslie Yezakl set a trap for an armadillo in the 200 block of S. Lynwood.
On Nov. 25, Yezakl was advised of a dog left in a cage in inclement weather in the 400 block of N Monroe. Officer located a small French bulldog with black collar in a small wire keel under the carport. Dog was wet and shivering with fecal and urine under the kennel. Owner was located and advised to get dog inside or put a blanket around kennel to provide shelter from the weather. Owner advised she would take the dog inside. Officer advised she would check back by on dog. Officer later drove by and observed dog running at large. Officer advised owner the dog was not allowed to run at large, and it could result in citations, or could be picked up and impounded at shelter.
On Nov. 25, Yezakl was dispatched to the 500 block of S. Meyer for chickens running at large causing a nuisance to neighbors.
On Nov. 26, Yezakl responded to. the 900 block of E. Lafayette and removed a cat trap and cat.
Accident On Nov. 24, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Hwy. 71 for a one vehicle accident.
On Nov. 25, Officer Brett Meinardus worked a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of E. Travis.
Abandoned Vehicle
On Nov. 23, Haynie was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Lester regarding an abandoned vehicle.
Burglary
On Nov. 30, Meinardus was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis for mechanical forced entry through wall. Gaming machine broken into.
Criminal Mischief
On Nov. 23, Haynie was dispatched to the 300 block of Wood Hollow regarding criminal mischief.
Citizen Assist
On Nov. 28, Meinardus took a report from caller advising someone struck his trash can with their vehicle in the 300 block of Ellinger Road. Damage done to trash can.
Disturbance
On Nov. 26,Armstead was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis for a disturbance.
Family Violence
On Nov. 24, Meinardus responded to the 200 block of E. Travis where caller advised her boyfriend hit her. Caller was gone when officer arrived. Officer was unable to locate anyone.
Loud Music
On Nov. 24, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of W. Colorado for loud music.
Suspicious Person
On Nov. 30, Officer Jose Garza was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Jackson for a suspicious person.
Trespassing
On Nov. 29, Garza was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington for possible trespassers.
On Nov. 30, Garza was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business to issue a criminal trespass warning.
Theft
On Nov. 23,Armstead was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a theft in progress.
On Nov. 30, Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a theft.
