La Grange Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Jan. 23-30.
Assault by Threat
On Jan. 26, Patrolman Robin Emmons responded to the 500 block of N. Jackson for a juvenile suspect that verbally threatened a school official.
Alarm
On Jan. 26, Patrolman Kevin Currington responded to a residential alarm in the 1000 block of N. Von Minden. It was a false alarm.
On Jan. 28, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 1200 block of N. Von Minden for an alarm and found all doors secure and no signs of forced entry.
Accident
On Jan. 26, Currington was dispatched to the 2400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a minor accident.
Animal Complaint
On Jan. 24, Patrolman Justin Koehne responded to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a dog running loose, dog was gone upon officers arrival.
On Jan. 25, Koehne responded to the 200 block of S. Franklin in regard to an animal complaint.
On Jan. 25, Patrolman John Wostarek responded to the 600 block of Rosenberg for a barking dog. Officer upon arrival could not locate the barking dog.
On Jan. 29, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1800 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass in regard to an animal complaint.
On Jan. 29, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr responded to the 200 block of W. Travis for a loose dog running in the roadway. Officer was unable to locate the dog.
On Jan. 29, Zwahr responded to the 300 block of S. Brown for an animal complaint. The house is condemned and it was only buzzards.
On Jan. 29, Zwahr responded to the 600 block of N. Jefferson in regard to an animal complaint.
Disturbance
On Jan. 23-Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of Wood Hollow for subjects arguing. Subjects advised they were only talking loud.
On Jan. 24, Meinadus responded to the 600 block of N. Jefferson for people yelling at the location. Officer spoke to the subjects who stated they were speaking loudly but there was not a disturbance.
Possession
On Jan. 28, Emmons responded to the 800 block of S. Vail for juvenile suspect in possession of a vape that tested positive for THC.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Jan. 23, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 500 block of N. Jefferson for a suspicious person.
On Jan. 24, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of Ellinger in regard to a suspicious person.
On Jan. 26, Currington was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass for a suspicious female. Female was clear of warrants and advised she would leave.
On Jan. 27, Meinardus saw a subject loading a skid steer onto a trailer in the 1700 block of W. State Hwy. 71 and stopped and identified the subject who was retrieving the vehicle which had been repaired.
Trespassing
On Jan. 26, Emmons responded to the 900 block of E. Guadalupe for a subject given a trespassing warning and forbidden from entering any La Grange ISD premises for any event.
Warrant Arrest
On Jan. 26, Currington was notified of a subject in the 200 block of N. Main with a warrant. Officer made contact and arrested the subject on two felony warrants.
On Jan. 28, Zwahr arrested a subject with a felony warrant at the adult probation office in the 200 block of N. Main.
Welfare Check
On Jan. 24, Zwahr responded to the 900 block of S. Madison for a welfare check on a subject. All was fine.
