La Grange Police Officers Respond to Assault Call
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of April 27-May 4 .
Assault
On May 3, Officer Brett Meinardus was dispatched to a disturbance between mother and subject in the 1600 block of N. Jefferson. Subject was arrested for assault family violence. Accident
On April 27, Officer Noah Geer was dispatched to the intersection of US Highway 77 North and State Hwy. 71 west frontage for a two-vehicle accident.
On April 30, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 1500 block of Hwy. 159 for an accident.
Animal Complaint
On April 27, Haynie was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a loose cow.
On April 30, Animal Control Officer Justin Pietsch picked up a dog in the 400 block of N. Main.
On May 1, Pietsch checked on a dead smell in the ceiling in the 600 block of E. Pearl.
On May 3, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Jefferson regarding an animal complaint.
On May 4, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Horton regarding an animal complaint.
Agency Assist
On April 29, Meinardus responded to the 100 block of Park Place where caller stated husband with Alzheimer’s was refusing to return to the house.
Counterfeit Money
On April 30, Haynie was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Travis regarding counterfeit money.
Civil Matter
On May 1, Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of S. Cindy Lane for a civil matter.
On May 1, Geer was dispatched to the 500 block of S. Cindy Lane regarding exposed wiring inside an apartment.
Citizen Assist
On May 2, Meinardus responded to the 600 block of S. Meyer to assist individual with packages meant for another address. Officer took packages to the correct address.
On May 3, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Washington regarding a beeping gate.
City Ordinance Violation On May 4, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lafayette regarding a city ordinance violation.
Disturbance
On April 29, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of Edgewood regarding a disturbance. Juvenile Complaint
On April 30, Geer was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Lafayette regarding children playing on the train tracks.
On May 1, Geer was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Roitsch regarding a neighbor kicking a ball at a fence.
On May 3, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of Sherwood regarding a juvenile complaint.
Loitering
On May 4, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding subjects loitering on the premises.
Road Hazard
On April 30, Haynie was dispatched to State Hwy. 71 bypass and US 77 for a ball in the road.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle On April 30-Haynie was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Jackson regarding a suspicious person.
On May 4, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Lafayette regarding a suspicious person.
Welfare Check
On April 27, Haynie was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Fannin regarding a welfare check.
