La Grange Police Officers Have Another Busy Week

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidence his department responded to from the week of Feb. 20-27:

Assault

On Feb. 21, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Northline in regards to an assault. Officer arrived on location and spoke with several subjects. A male subject was arrested for assault and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.

On Feb. 26, Officer Curtis Zwahr met with subject in the 400 block of Ellinger in regard to an assault. Officer took information for a report.

Animal Complaint

On Feb. 20, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Vail for a loose white dog. Officer arrived and owner was putting the dog up.

Accident

On Feb. 24, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of S. Jefferson for an accident with no injuries.

On Feb. 24, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Travis for an accident with no injuries.

On Feb. 24, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call of a two, vehicle accident in the 400 block of E. Eblin. No injuries.

On Feb. 24, Anderson worked a two, vehicle accident at the intersection of S. Jefferson and Eblin.

On Feb. 25, Officer Justin Koehne worked a vehicle accident in the 1500 block of N. Hwy. 77.

On Feb. 26, Koehne worked an accident in the parking lot in the 800 block of S. Vail.

Civil Matter

On Feb. 20, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to apartments on Koenig Ln. apartments and spoke with an individual about getting items out of an apartment.

On Feb. 21, Zwahr spoke with manager in the 500 block of W. Lowerline in regard to a civil matter.

On Feb. 21, Zwahr spoke with caller in regard to a civil matter.

On Feb. 23, Anderson received a call for a civil standby in the 300 block of Diers Ln.

On Feb. 25, Zwahr spoke with a subject in the 500 block of E. Travis in regard to a civil matter.

Criminal Mischief

On Feb. 21, Zwahr spoke with caller in regard to property damage in the 300 block of S. Brown.

On Feb. 22, Zwahr spoke to individual about criminal mischief in the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.

On Feb. 22, Zwahr responded to the 700 block of N. Eckel and spoke with residents in regard to criminal mischief.

On Feb. 24, Anderson received a call in regard to criminal mischief in the 500 block of W. Lowerline

Citizen Assist

On Feb. 22, Wostarek spoke with an individual in the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to past incidents at the location. Officer advised they would need to compete an open records request.

Disturbance

On Feb. 23, Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of Diers for a verbal argument between boyfriend and girlfriend. Female subject left prior to officers’ arrival.

On Feb. 23, Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a customer causing issued and they requested an officer to ask him to leave. Officer asked the customer to leave.

Family Violence

On Feb. 22, Zwahr responded to the 500 block of N. Jefferson and took information.

Fire Alarm

On Feb. 23, Anderson received a call regarding a structure fire in the 1400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.

Loud Music

On Feb. 22, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of Carroll Ln. in regard to loud music. Officer arrived on location and spoke with two subjects. One subject was issued a citation for the loud music.

On Feb. 25, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a noise complaint. Office arrived on location and searched the area. Officer did not hear any loud noise.

Lost/Stolen

On Feb. 25, Wostarek spoke with a caller in regard to a lost iPad.

Public Intoxication

On Feb. 22, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of Carroll Ln. in regard to loud music. Officer arrived on location and one subject was arrested for public intoxication. Subject was transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center and released to jail staff.

Reckless Driving

On Feb. 22, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in regard to a subject driving an ATV on the roadway. Officer spoke with the subject that had the ATV parked in the driveway. Officer advised subject that the ATV was not allowed to be driven on the roadway.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On Feb. 20, Anderson received a call regarding three suspicious people in the 1000 block of N. Horton.

On Feb. 20, Meinardus received a call from complainant that advised an RV had been parked in the business parking lot all day. Officer spoke to the owner who stated that a part broke and he was trying to repair it. Subject was able to get the part and departed the location.

On Feb. 21, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Northline in regards to a suspicious person. Officer arrived and spoke to the male subject and subject left after speaking to the officer.

On Feb. 21, Koehne checked on a suspicious person in the 300 block of N. Horton.

On Feb. 23, Anderson received a call in regard to a suspicious male wearing a black hoodie in the 100 block of N. Washington

On Feb. 24, Currington was dispatched to the 1300 block of N. Jefferson for a suspicious vehicle and subject. Officer made contact and subject pulled over to talk on cell phone.

On Feb. 26, Zwahr spoke with a caller in regard to a suspicious vehicle in the 400 block of E. Eblin.

On Feb. 26, Officer David Mohr received a call of a suspicious person in the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.

On Feb. 26, Mohr received a call of a suspicious person in the 100 block of N. Washington. Officer located the individual and identified him.

Trespassing

On Feb. 21, Zwahr escorted a subject fro the property in the 600 block of State Hwy. 71 bypass that was trespassing.

On Feb. 21, Anderson received a call in regard to a male refusing to leave the location in the 600 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass.

On Feb. 22, Zwahr spoke with manager of a property at E. Bluffview that had a broken down vehicle on the property. Officer provided criminal trespass paperwork.

Theft

On Feb. 22, Investigator Troy Stevens completed a theft report in the 100 block of N. Washington.

Miscellaneous

On Feb. 21, Zwahr provided traffic control at Travis and Jefferson for a stalled 18, wheeler.

On Feb. 21, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block E. Travis in regard to an alarm. Building was secure.

On Feb. 22, Zwahr responded to n alarm in the 100 block of W. Travis. Officer found the building to be secure.

On Feb. 22, Zwahr escorted a citizen to the hospital.

On Feb. 23, Anderson received a alarm call in the 100 block of E. Travis. All secure.

On Feb. 23, Meinardus responded to the 100 block of E. Travis for a front door alarm going off. Building was secure with no signs of forced entry.

On Feb. 25, Zwahr responded to an alarm in the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.
