La Grange Police Department Staying Busy

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 8-15.

Assault

On May 12, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 200 block of N. Main in regard to subject being hit with thrown object.

On May 14, Officer Kevin Currington responded to the 500 block of Cindy Ln. for an assault.

Accident

On May 10, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Washington for a minor accident.

On May 10, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Jefferson for a two-vehicle accident.

On May 11, Officer Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 in regard to a vehicle accident. Officer took report and a citation was issued.

On May 12, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1200 block of Hwy. 77 business in regard to a two-vehicle accident. Citation was issued.

On May 13, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident in the parking lot.

On May 13, Meinardus responded to the 200 block of S. Water for a one-vehicle accident. Driver was transported to the South Austin Medical Center by EMS.

Animal complaint

On May 9, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to an animal complaint in the 900 block of N. Franklin.

On May 9, Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Franklin in regard to an animal complaint.

Agency Assist

On May 11, Maxwell stood by in the 300 block of Woodhollow with CPS while matter was discussed.

Alarm

On May 9, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for an alarm.

On May 10, Carrington was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 for an alarm. It was a false alarm.

Citizen Assist

On May 9, Anderson received a call in regard to a citizen assist in the 700 bock of E. Eblin.

On May 10, Anderson responded to the 500 block of Koenig in regard to suspicious activity.

Civil Matter

On May 11, Wostarek was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Horton in regard to a civil matter.

Disturbance

On May 8, Keeney responded to the 900 block of E. Roitsch in regard to loud music coming from a nearby house.

On May 8, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Horton in regard to loud music. Officer arrived on location and located the loud music. Subject was issued a citation and the music was turned off.

On May 8, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of Fireside in regard to a disturbance. Officer took information for an incident report.

On May 9, Maxwell was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis in regard to a possible disturbance.

On May 12, Keeney responded to the 400 block of S. Washington in response to a report of two kids harassing complainant.

Found Narcotics

On May 9, Keeney assisted MS in the 200 block of S. Ellinger and found narcotics.

Harassment

On May 14, Anderson received a call in regards to harassment in the 1900 block of Hwy. 159.

Identity Theft

On May 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regards to identity theft.

Family Violence

On May 9, Anderson received a call for a disturbance in the 300 block of Woodhollow.

Juvenile complaint

On May 10, Officer Curtis Zwahr took information for a juvenile complaint in the 300 block of S. Jackson.

Motorist Assist

On May 11, Keeney assisted a stranded motorist in the 800 block of E. Travis.

Narcotics Complaint

On May 11, Wostarek spoke with a caller in the 700 block of E. Walnut about a narcotics complaint.

Scam

On May 12, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass in regard to a subject tying to sell fake gold to customers.

Sexting

On May12, Anderson received a call involving possible sexting at the La Grange High School.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On May 8, Keeney responded to the 400 block of E. Travis in response of a suspicious person. The person was waling to a friends house.

On May 8, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Monroe in regard to suspicious person. Officer arrived on location and searched the area, Officer unable to locate anyone.

On May 9, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regards to suspicious person.

On May 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Washington for a suspicious person. Officer was unable to locate anyone.

On May 10, Currington spoke with a subject about a suspicious person in the 500 block of W. Lowerline.

On May 10, Anderson received a call for a suspicious vehicle in the 400 block of E. Eblin.

On May 12, Wostark was dispatched to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regards to a suspicious person. Officer was unable to locate anyone in the area.

On May 13, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Main for an unoccupied vehicle.

On May 14, Anderson responded to the 200 block of E. Travis for a suspicious male subject.

Theft

On May 13, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Jefferson to speak with two subjects that wanted to report a theft.

Trespassing

On May 10, Wostarek spoke with a caller in the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regards to subject’s trespassing.

Traffic Hazard

On May 8, Maxwell me with individual in regard to cables that were damaged from an oversized load in the 1900 block of Hwy. 159.

On May 8, Maxwell was dispatched to the intersection of S. Jackson and E. Milam in regard to road hazard.

My 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of Hwy. 71 frontage in regard to a vehicle blocking the lane of traffic.

Traffic Stop

On May8, Keeney initiated traffic stop in the 900 block of Roitsch Ln.

Theft

On May 9, Officer Robin Emmons responded to the 500 block of N. Jackson to take a report of a controlled substance prescription medication that was stolen.
