La Grange Council Cancels Meeting, Citing No City Business to Discuss

The City of La Grange canceled the City Council meeting that was set for Monday, Jan. 13.

“At the agenda setting conference between the City Manager and the Mayor, it was determined that there were no items of public business to set on the agenda for the regularly scheduled meeting to be held on Monday, January 13, 2025,” stated a public notice signed by Mayor Jan Dockery, which was posted on Thursday, Jan. 9.

The notice went on to say, “In addition, no council member has timely contacted either the City Manager or the Mayor to request that an item of public business be set on the agenda for such Regular Meeting.”

The La Grange Council meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Their next meeting date is Monday, Jan. 27.
