Kolkhorst in New Energy Documentary

Texas Senator Lois Kolkhorst, who represents Fayette County, recently appeared in a documentary titled “Red Power.”

The film produced by conservative media outlet Texas Scorecard explores China’s role in Texas’s burgeoning renewable energy industry. It also highlights environmental hazards related to wind and solar power and the cost to taxpayers through subsidies for green energy projects.

In the film, Kolkhorst speaks about the wind farm that Apex Clean Energy wants to build in Fayette County.

“They’re talking 600 ft. wind towers on 20,000 acres in Fayette County,” Kolkhorst said. “None of us would think Fayette County would be a wind source. It’s not West Texas. It’s not the coast. That’s why they have to be 600 ft.”
