Knox Memorial Scholarship Accepting Applications
Applications are now being accepted for an academicbased scholarship from the Amanda (Zoch) Knox Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund will pay for the full tuition for an incoming 9th grade student of Faith Lutheran High School beginning in the Fall of 2025. Applications are due May 1 and are available from FLHS or from Cyndy Zoch at cyndy.zoch@gmail.com.
Annual Pork Steak Dinner The Holy Cross Youth Group will hold their Annual Pork Steak Fundraiser on Sunday, March 9. Drive thru only at the picnic grounds will be from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Plates are $15 each and include pork steak, green beans, noodles and corn. Tickets are presale only by Thursday. Feb. 27 and may be purchased from the church office, Chevron in La Grange, First National Bank in Giddings or from any youth member. There will also be a bake sale for a freewill donation.
Wednesday Night Bible Study The Wednesday Night Bible Study at Holy Cross in Warda is studying 2nd Kings. New members are always welcome. If you are interested in participating, please contact Cyndy Zoch to receive a study guide. Her contact email is: cyndy.zoch@gmail.com.
Sewing Circle
The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. (this is around the back side of the church). No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 242-3333 if you have any questions.
Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, March 20 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.
The recycle trailer that used to be at the Warda Storage units is now located across from the Fellowship Hall of Holy Cross Church, just drive down a little ways from the fellowship area parking lot and you will see the recycle area.

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.
There is also an 11:30 a.m. Wednesday Bible Study Group. They are beginning a study on Galatians.
Transfiguration Sunday is March 2. Ash Wednesday Service will be March 5 at 7 p.m. Midweek Lenten Services will be on Wednesdays from March 12-April 9.
The GEMS group (Girls Embracing Mission Service) will meet Sunday February 23 at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross in Warda.
