Karen Bookout Seeks Spot on Fayetteville Town Council

Karen Bookout is running for city council in Fayetteville.

She is a retired veterinarian who received her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. She has been a resident of Fayetteville for nine years.

She currently heads a city committee charged with developing the newly acquired city park.

She is a member of the board of directors at Arts for Rural Texas where she serves as an officer helping to bring the arts to the children of Fayette County. In this capacity she has headed the ArtWalk committee twice, bringing visitors to enjoy this celebration in Fayetteville.

She is also currently serving on the board of directors for Fayette Community Foundation, which is dedicated to helping nonprofits in the Fayette County area to serve those in need.

She and her husband Tom love Fayetteville and look forward to helping to preserve all that makes our town special.
