June County Sheriff’s Report
Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of June 2025.
Deputy Ty Roggenkamp conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Schulenburg area for an infraction. A probable cause search was conducted and narcotics were located in the vehicle. The operator was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Deputy Mark Pritchard assisted the Schulenburg Police Department with a hit and run accident, Deputy Pritchard also assisted the La Grange Police Department with a shooting call and a mobile disturbance.
Deputy Wesly Arrison worked multiple inquests throughout the county. Deputy Arrison also took a report of a stolen skid steer from the construction area on US Highway 77.
Deputy Jose Mosqueda took an inquest report on US90 outside of Flatonia.
Deputy Jason Fowler responded to an inquest near West Point. Deputy Fowler also responded to a missing person call in Plum, the person was located unharmed the following day.
Deputy Joe Gonzales responded to a structure fire on Blankenburg Lane. A report was completed. Deputy Gon-zales also responded to a disturbance and the parties were separated.
Sergeant Duane Meagher responded to an abandoned vehicle on State Highway 71 that had been tagged, the vehicle was towed. Sergeant Meagher conducted a traffic stop on FM 609 near Muldoon and the driver was unlicensed and uninsured. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed.
Deputy James Ulbig responded to a residence on Polasek Road near La Grange in reference to threats being made. A report was taken and the case will be filed with the County Attorney.
Deputy Chris Stansberry assisted the Schulenburg Police Department with a disturbance and Deputy Stansberry assisted the La Grange Police Department with a disturbance.
Deputy Cody Williams responded to a residence near Weimar in reference to a missing person. The subject was located deceased on the property. The Texas Rangers were called to assist. Deputy Williams also took a report for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Deputy Terry Guentert took a report of property damage from individuals driving through a ditch on someone’s property. With the help of Precinct Commissioner Brosmann, a camera was put out and the suspects were identified and cited.
Sergeant Angela Lala is working a case on a sex offender who moved into Fayette County but did not register. The case will be presented to the County Attorney.
Sergeant Ron Naumann took a complaint of reckless driving, two motorcycles were passing in a no passing zone. The motorcyclists admitted to passing illegally and were cited.
Jail Administrator Holly Smith reports that Fayette County Correction Officers booked in 50 individuals for the month of June. Smith reports that the Jail Staff transported 4 individual(s) to Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facilities throughout the State to being serving their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
