It’s Fayette County Fair Week: A Few Reminders

Ticket sales for Saturday headliner Hudson Westbrook, above, have been so brisk that the fair has brought back its shuttle bus system for Saturday night because of parking concerns.
The 98th annual Fayette County Fair was set to begin Thursday and go through Sunday at the fairgrounds in La Grange.
Here are some reminders:
• Thursday the Queen’s Contest will begin at 7 p.m. Admission and parking is free to all that night.
• Saturday’s parade will begin in downtown La Grange at 10:30 a.m. The route will proceed from the elementary school, down Jackson Street, turn left on Colorado Street and go along Colorado St. past the courthouse square.
• A larger than normal crowd is being expected for Saturday’s headliner, Hudson Westbrook, so free shuttle busses have been added. Shuttles will run 7 p.m. - 1 a.m. Saturday from the La Grange High School Football Stadium to the front gate. Back up staging area (when stadium is full) is at the KC Hall. Parking on the grounds Friday-Sunday is $5, cash only.
