Introducing Some of ArtWalk’s Visionaries

ArtWalk returns to the Fayetteville town square for another great weekend of fine art, family fun, and festivities. Hosted by Arts for Rural Texas, the event will take place on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday, May 4, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

More than 60 artists from across the state will show their original works, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, jewelry, and mixed media. Among them are artists Susana Langlois, Paige Yim, and Anne Gaines. Susana Langlois is the artist, designer, and craftsman behind every piece of jewelry at Langlois Designs. Each ring, necklace, and pair of earrings is thoughtfully handcrafted using sterling silver, gold-filled metals, precious and semi-precious stones, and both saltwater and freshwater pearls. Her jewelry is elegant, timeless, and versatile. While Susana brings elegance through metals and precious stones, Paige Yim adds a playful energy to the mix with her small-batch ceramics. Thrown on the pottery wheel, her mugs, vases, bowls, platters, and ornaments feature one-of-a-kind patterns that are as fun as they are functional.

Like Paige’s ceramics, Anne Gaines’ prints bring a touch of whimsy. Working in reduction linocut, she carves a single piece of linoleum to create multi-layered prints. Her work has also evolved into mixed media, painting her hand-carved linoleum blocks with India ink and acrylic as stand-alone pieces. Often featuring playful cats, delicate butterflies, and vibrant flowers, her work reflects both craftsmanship and creativity.

In addition to fine art, Art-Walk attendees can enjoy artist demonstrations, live music, children’s activities, a food court, a wine booth, and more. Join the festivities and discover many other unique artists at this year’s ArtWalk.
