Interstate Fire
On Friday afternoon around 4:21 p.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting 18 Wheeler truck on fire on Interstate 10 eastbound at the 663 mile marker. The Flatonia Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene. Flatonia P.D. Officers Trey Tunis and Taylor Amos also responded to the fire along with Deputies Herman Olvera and Cedar Chase. Upon arrival it was reported the truck was fully engulfed in fire. Assistance from the Schulenburg Fire Department was requested and they responded to the scene. The fire was extinguished and there were no reported Injuries. The trailer contained food items and it is believed the fire originated from the engine area.
