House Fire in West Point

A house fire started Friday afternoon in the West Point area on FM 154 near Highway 71. Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze. None of the residents in the home were injured. Some of the pets in the house were saved, but others perished in the fire. The cause of the fire was not known at press time.
