Home Raided in Schulenburg

Members of the Austin County Regional Special Response Team raided a home in Schulenburg on Aug. 9.

The team executed arrest and search warrants at a residence in the 200 block of Paulus St. According to the Austin County Sheriff’ Office the operation was the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation by the Westside (HIDTA) Narcotics Task Force. Task Force Officers had been investigating reports of narcotics being distributed from the residence, the report said..

One suspect, 36-year-old Alex Delgado was arrested without incident.

The report said cocaine, marijuana, United States currency, and firearms were seized during the operation. Delgado was charged with manufacture / delivery of controlled substance. Delgado was booked into the Fayette County Jail without incident.

The Westside Narcotics Task Force covers four counties and is comprised of investigators from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Bellville PD, Sealy PD, Hempstead PD, Waller County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado County Sheriff’s Office, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.

The Schulenburg Police Department assisted with the arrest and search warrant operation.
