Home Burns in Round Top

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports early Thursday morning, June 6, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire on Hackemack Rd. near Kneip Rd. in the Round Top area.

The Round Top Warrenton Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene with EMS Unit Medic 2, and Deputies Cedar Chase, and Seth Nagel.

Upon arrival it was reported a house had burned to the ground. Round Top Warrenton Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. Request was made from Precinct 2 Commissioner Sternadel with equipment assistance to remove the tin from the structure which had collapsed on the burning debris.

The cause of the fire was undetermined and there were no reported injuries.
