La Grange City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28-29 in observance of Thanksgiving. The week of Nov. 25-30 is garbage and recycle week. Waste Management will also have a holiday on Thursday. If you normally get your garbage and recycle picked up on Thursday, it will be picked up on Friday. If you normally get your garbage and recycle picked up on Friday, it will be picked up on Saturday. The Ledbetter Community Center is having a Christmas Craft Market on Sunday, Dec. 1. from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Handmade crafts and goodies made by local artists will be available for purchase. The center is located on Hwy. 290 between Giddings and Carmine at 301 W. Labadie Street.

Community Prayer Gathering
A multi-church supported Community Prayer Gathering for La Grange will be held Sunday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. inside the La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center (located across the street from Sonic). Join as we pray for one another, our community, our nation, and our world. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Carmine Christmas Fest
The 40th annual Carmine Christmas Fest will be held on Sunday, Dec. 1 at Carmine Hall from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Clause will come to town in a fire truck. Beef stew and grilled burger meals and to-go meals will be available as well as vendors for unique Christmas gifts and a children’s musical at 1:30 p.m. Enjoy free Polar Express rides. Join to start the Christmas season.
FCRP Meeting and Christmas Party Tis the season to be jolly. The public is invited to the Fayette County Republican Party meeting and Christmas Party on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the Ellinger C of C Dining Hall (104 W. Colorado Sky, Ellinger). Doors open at 5 p.m. Meeting at 5:30 p.m. followed by a delicious meal and desserts. BYOB. A White Elephant Gift Exchange will be held with a $20+ limit. Blood Drive at KC Hall
A community blood drive will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 10 am. - 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 190 S. Brown St. in La Grange. Eat a full meal before donating and bring your photo ID. Donate and earn a holiday tshirt. Schedule at wearblood.org/donor.
