Harbers Running for LGISD School Board
My name is Blake Harbers, and I am pleased to announce that I am running for Place 1 on the LGISD School Board.
I was part of the La Grange public school system from kindergarten through high school. After graduating in 2013, I attended Texas A&M University, earned a B.S. in Geology, and I’m currently employed as a hydrologist with LCRA.
La Grange is a community that means a great deal to me, I’m running for school board because I want to ensure that current students and future generations will have even more opportunities than I was blessed with. The current board would benefit from my optimism and experience from attending La Grange schools. In high school, I was very active in athletics, UIL academics, and extra-curricular activities. I know firsthand how valuable these programs are, and I will make sure they remain top priorities for our school board, along with good governance, and hometown values.
There are a growing number of my peers and fellow young adults becoming the next generation of parents.
Their children will attend LGISD, and I want to ensure that the school district has everything it needs to provide for them and enhance their environment to be as safe and as fun as possible.
I look forward to serving the community. I hope that you consider voting for me come election day. For more information, contact myself or my campaign treasurer Jenifer Boening, at blakeharbersinfo@yahoo.com.
