Habitat for Humanity Home Blessing May 30

Fayette County Habitat for Humanity invites the public to celebrate a joyful milestone as the Wright family receives the keys to their new home in the Hope Hill neighborhood of La Grange.

A special home blessing ceremony will be held on Friday, May 30, at 6 p.m. at 201 Esperanza Avenue, La Grange.

This new home represents not just four walls and a roof, but a foundation of stability, hope, and opportunity for the Wright family. Built with the support of dedicated volunteers, donors, and the sweat equity of the homeowners themselves, the house is part of Habitat’s commitment to providing affordable housing in partnership with families in need.

“This home is a testament to the power of community and faith in action,” said Kenny Couch, Executive Director of Fayette County Habitat for Humanity. “We are thrilled to welcome the Wrights into their new home and into the Hope Hill neighborhood.”

The ceremony will include a brief program, words of blessing, and an opportunity for attendees to tour the completed home. All are welcome to attend and join in celebrating the culmination of months of hard work, generosity, and collaboration.

The Wrights’ journey with Habitat is a shining example of what happens when neighbors come together to build strength, stability, and selfreliance through shelter.
