Grand Jury Hands Down Indictments
The Fayette County Grand Jury handed down 14 indictments on Feb. 24 for crimes allegedly committed in Fayette County.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt. A person is indicted when the grand jury finds enough evidence to formally accuse them of a crime. The defendants listed below are presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court.
Daniel Marcos Rodriquez, 24 of Flatonia, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty grade 1, greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams, allegedly committed on June 6, 2020.
Keith Dewayne Jones, 24 of Schulenburg, was indicted for credit card or debit card abuse, allegedly committed on Jan. 12.
Luis Mario Farias, 57 of San Antonio, was indicted for money laundering, greater than or equal to $2,500 and less than $30,000, allegedly committed on Feb. 8.
Martha Azucena Farias, 58 of San Antonio, was indicted for money laundering, greater than or equal to $2,500 and less than $30,000, allegedly committed on Feb. 8.
Jose Santos Flores, 54 of Eagle Pass, was indicted for money laundering, greater than or equal to $30,000 and less than $150,000, allegedly committed on Jan. 12.
Dante Larenz Stevens, 26 of Garwood, was indicted for unlawfull possession of a firearm by a felon, allegedly committed on Oct. 4, 2021.
Heather Burkes, 37 of Nixon, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty grade 1, greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams, allegedly committed on July 11, 2020.
Lemuel Lynn Burkes Jr., 40 of Nixon was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty grade 1, greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams, allegedly committed on July 11, 2020.
Erica Renee Menchaca, 42 of Victoria, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty grade 1, greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams, allegedly committed on July 11, 2020.
Richard Latham Crow, 65 of Cedar Park, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty grade 1, greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams, allegedly committed on May 20, 2021.
Melissa Lynn Drewes, 54 of Smithville, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty grade 1, greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams, allegedly committed on May 20, 2021.
Robley Slade Messer, 34 of Bastrop, was indicted for controlled substance, penalty grade 1, less than one gram, allegedly committed on June 3, 2020.
Bobby Dan Schreiber, 46 of Austin, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty grade 1, greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams, allegedly committed on May 3, 2021.
Maurice Shane Stevenson, 27 of San Antonio, was indicted for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, allegedly committed on Jan. 5.
