Gospel Explosion Added to Juneteenth Weekend Events

The Juneteenth Committee is pleased to announce a gospel music explosion entitled, “Lord, Let Your Fire Fall” on Friday, June 17 at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 E. Pearl St., La Grange, Texas.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Contestants in the Mr. and Miss Juneteenth Pageant will be introduced at 6:15 p.m. and the music starts at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.

“You’re in for a special treat,” Johnathan Ellis, President of the Juneteenth Committee, said. “We are blessed to have The New Soul Invaders as our special guest. They really know how to put on a show.”

The Juneteenth weekend promises three days of festivities, including a parade, freedom luncheon, Historical Showcase, worship service, and more. Please check the calendar of events at www.juneteenthtexas.org for details.
