Hundreds of Flags Placed on Veterans’ Graves at Cemetery
578 new US Flags were placed on Veteran graves on May 11-12, 2025 by members of American Legion Post 102 and VFW Post 5254. Mary Gray (Post 102 Adjutant) spent her Mother’s Day personally placing more than 300 of those flags, along with her husband, Richard Gray (Post Commander, right). One of the Veterans happened to be getting a visit from his loving family. Crispin “Speedy” Tamez, a Korean War Veteran of the US Army, who died January 1, 2018, is visited by his widow, Beatrice, and their daughter (above).
