Girl With Local Connections Wins Livestock “Triple Crown”
A girl with local connections, Presley Jacob, 10, has won the “Triple Crown” at the 2022 Spring Texas Major Livestock Shows which include San Antonio, Houston and Austin.
Presley is the daughter of Chase and Christy Jacob of Pattison, Texas. Granddaughter of Debbie and late Mark Jacob of Carmine and Ronnie and Donna Melton of Pattinson.
Presley is the Great-granddaughter of Jocie Jacob Braun of Round Top and Larnette Rayburn of Waller.
She exhibits with the Royal FFA Chapter and shows a Red Brangus heifers. The Junior Breeding Heifer shows consist of FFA and 4-H members across Texas and are some of the largest breeding shows in the World, with breeders and exhibitors not only from across Texas, but cattle exhibited from all across the country. The triple crown is honored to an exhibitor that has won three consecutive shows in a row on a state and/or national level. Presley and her heifer “Coupon” started their journey in 2021 and the results since their time in the showing are as follows. This Red Brangus Female is also a “Back to Back” Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Red Brangus Breed Champion, winning as a baby calf last year and a senior heifer this year. This very special heifer was raised by Gray Cattle Company/Donald and Lisa Gray of Needville.
Presley strives in all of her accomplishment with great help from her twin brother, Porter and little brother Patton Mark.
To top it off Presley’s mother, Christy won this exact same honors with a Grand Champion heifer-Maybelline at the 2001 San Antonio livestock show.
