Gilbreath Wins Final Football Jackpot of Season

Steven Gilbreath of La Grange was the winner of the final football pick-it contest in the Record this season, sponsored by Farmers Lumber Company. Gilbreath, and three others, picked all 10 games right last week, but he prevailed on the score prediction tiebreaker. Gilbreath, right, is shown here accepting his check from Walt Jackson of Farmers Lumber. In all, Farmers gave out $1,200 in prize money this season. Also Tuesday the drawing was held for the year-end prize in the contest, the zero-turn mower. Someone named ‘OJ’ turned in the winning ticket. He has been called and we will try to get a photo in the newspaper next week of him accepting the mower.
