Friends of Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill Wins Alliance Award

On April 8, 2026, the Friends of Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill State Historic Sites accepted the 2026 Friends Alliance Award at the Real Places conference in Austin. This award recognizes a non-profit Friends group for their exemplary work in the stewardship of a Texas Historical Commission (THC) State Historic Site and is made possible by the Friends of the THC. The Alliance Award acknowledged the Friends’ major work in supporting and funding the sites’ one-of-a-kind Outdoor Interactive Exhibit Space. Since its grand opening in November 2024, the educational playscape has connected visitors of all ages with the natural and historic themes of the sites through sensory exploration, movement, and fun.
