FPP Fire Put Out Quickly
La Grange Volunteer FIre Department responded to a fire at the Fayette Power Project Thursday, March 6.
Firefighters got the call around 11 a.m. LCRA spokesperson Clara Tuma said a piece of machinery sparked a small grass fire.
“The fire was extinguished within minutes by FPP employees trained in fire safety,” Tuma said. “The fire was contained to a 20x20 foot area of land and did not cause any property damage or change to plant operations.
“LCRA would like to thank the La Grange Fire Department for responding to the fire call,” Tuma added. “Though FPP employees were able to put out the fire, we greatly appreciate the support and quick response from the fire department.”
There were no injuries.
