Fourth of July festivities continue this weekend in Round Top. The Halles, located at 1465 N. Hwy. 237, will be open beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 5, with an elevated breakfast and lunch menu prepared by Carolyn’s, a new restaurant by Carolyn McNellie, owner of the Round Top Coffee Shop.

At 11 a.m., Sage Roots Bar will be open with your favorite classic wine and beer drinks, along with a special patriotic cocktail. Enjoy live music from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Starting at 6 p.m. head over to The Compound, 2550 Hwy 237, for more celebrating and fireworks.

Round Top Rifle Hall 

There will be no Monday Night Hamburger Socials during the month of July while the troops regroup.

Round Top Family Library 

The next FYI presents… is set for Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m. Bill “Brownie” Brown was the play-by-play voice for the World Champion Houston Astros for 30 years. He was inducted into the Astros Media Wall of Honor in 2011, the Texas baseball Hall of Fame in 2014, and the Astros Hall of Fame in 2023. We have arrived at the last week of the 2025 Round Top Music Festival daily Master Classes. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis. These performances are held weekdays at 1:30 p.m. in the Edythe Bates Old Chapel. Monday, July 7 - Chavdar Parashkevov, violin; Tuesday, July 8 - Tom Burritt, percussion; Wednesday, July 9 - Performance Psychology & Body Mapping with Jason Shafer and Kristin Wolfe Jensen; Thursday, July 10 - Brett Deubner, viola; Friday, July 11 - Marie Speziale, trumpet. Additional performances this week include Young Artist Chamber Music Groups Tuesday July 8 and Wednesday July 9 at 7 p.m., and the Best of Chamber Music Showcase on Friday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12 the Percussion Showcase is at 1:30 p.m., followed by the Season Closing Chamber Music Concert at 3:30 p.m., and the Texas Festival Orchestra & James Dick Season Closing Concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Festival Concert Hall. St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Fellowship, Coffee, and Sunday School follow at 9:30 a.m.

Game Day is held the first Wednesday at 2 p.m. Quilting is held the third Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.

St. John’s, Warrenton 

St. John’s is part of the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. They meet for Sunday Worship at 8:30 a.m.

RT Christian Fellowship 

Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, followed by a 10 a.m. service.

St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church 

Saint Cecilia’s Round Top, a creative faith community, will host its first-ever “Prayer for America” patriotic concert and worship celebration on Sunday, July 6 at The Compound (Peck Barn), 2550 SH 237, Round Top. All are invited for a Patriotic Concert at 10:15 a.m. and a Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. A group of All-Star musicians will participate including Crispin Schroeder, David Pulkingham, Joey McGee, Ellen Melissa Story, Ashley Monical, Stephen Mansolo, Bobby McDonald, and Rob Kazenel. The concert and service will feature songs by Joni Mitchell, John Denver, Dr. John, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Woody Guthrie, Ray Charles, Faith Hill, Marvin Gaye and John Mellencamp.
