Accidents
A driver pulling a bass boat jumped the curb in the front yard of David and Gerri Jeanes home on the corner of N. Rusk and FM 955. After jumping the curb, the trailer’s tire blew out when the driver struck a concrete block and a historic monument. Near the same intersection, the street sign for FM 955 was downed by an 18-wheeler.
Baseball State Champions Dr. Jeff Harvey shared his immense pride in our Fayetteville Lions. “This is our fourth state championship. We won in 1997, 2012, 2021 and now in 2025. I just couldn’t be more excited for the kids and the coaches. Obviously their dedication and hard work paid off. There are millions of kids that play baseball and only a handful can say they are state champions. Hopefully, they will remember this outstanding accomplishment for years to come and share with future generations. I’m really excited for them.”
