Food Pantry Serves 210 Families In February

AMEN continued to have an active February with 210 families and 555 individuals served for the month. A total of 121 volunteers served 3.300 hours at the pantry. A total of 1,762 pounds of food were donated.

What is the value of a volunteer worth? As of April 21, the value of a volunteer at an hourly rate is $28.54. This calculates to $8,561 dollars for AMEN in the month of February – a testament to the value of a volunteer.

As a reminder, clients may visit the pantry two times per month. Monetary donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 571 La Grange, Texas 78945. Food donations can be made on Monday 9 a.m. to noon and Thursday 10 a.m. to noon. Food is distributed on Monday only.

The mobile pantry at Waldeck served 132 households for a total of 282 individuals. A total of nineteen volunteers distributed 6,548 pounds of food.
