Flatonia Chamber Searching For a New Director

The long-serving Executive Director of the Flatonia Chamber of Commerce, Beverly Ponder, retired at the end of 2021. Since then, the Chamber has been directed by Emily Garza, who has done an excellent job, overseeing the annual banquet and a very successful CrawFest.

Ms. Garza has resigned in order to put her full energies behind her business, Legacy Rebels Cheer and Tumble, which teaches young people those gymnastic arts.

While the Chamber searches for a new Executive Director, Garza and Ponder will share those duties on an interim basis.

The Chamber will produce the 50th Czhilispiel this October, along with their annual Winter Wine Walk and many other events. The Chamber will also celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of Flatonia.
