Fayetteville Election

Voters in the City of Fayetteville elected two incumbents and one challenger to the City Council in the election last Saturday.

In the Position 1 race, according to unofficial results, incumbent Neal Doty defeated Betsy Hankins by a vote of 54- 22.

Challenger Kathy Griffith beat incumbent Bradley Girndt in the Position 3 race by a vote of 47-34.

Incumbent Yvonne McCowen won the Position 5 race against two challengers, Karen Bookout and Brian Brown. The vote was 42 for McCowen, 33 for Bookout and six for Brown.
