Mark your calendar to enjoy all the goings on at the annual Country Christmas Celebration and Homes Tour held by the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, Dec. 14. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be ready for photos with the kiddos at the Fayetteville Christmas Tree Display in the old fire station every Friday and Saturday during December from 6-8 p.m. with the exception of Dec. 14, the day of Country Christmas. On Dec. 14 they will appear from 4:305:30 p.m. and then again after the parade.

For the children’s goodie bags and a scholarship for two lucky FISD seniors, freewill donations are welcome.

City Offices Closed

City of Fayetteville offices are closed Nov. 28 and 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday. The City dump will be closed Nov. 29.

The Fayetteville Christmas tree will be set up in the gazebo this weekend.

Moving Sale

A moving sale is being held at the Pure West store in the square.

Christmas Coloring Contest

Students in first through fifth grades are invited to exhibit their artistic abilities by submitting artwork in ARTS’ Christmas Coloring Contest. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded.

Coloring sheets are required. They can be downloaded on this website or they can be picked up at ARTS in Fayetteville. https://www.artsforruraltexas. org/coloringcontest

Three winners will be announced on Friday, Dec. 13. Please note:

• Artwork can be delivered to ARTS Ross Gallery from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday, Dec. 2 till Friday, Dec. 6

• All entries must be received by Friday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m.. Late entries will not be accepted.

• Students must choose from one of the six provided coloring sheets

St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.

St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.

St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.

Fayetteville Brethren

Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 - 9:45 a.m.
