Fayetteville Classic Car Show This Weekend

A previous Fayetteville Car Show.

The Fayetteville Lions Club Classic Car Show returns this Saturday morning, April 16, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. around the town’s Historic Square.

Show organizer and Lions Club President, John Dennis, who has been visiting car shows around the state inviting car enthusiasts to come to Fayetteville, is expecting a good turnout. “The event is free to the public, and it is such a nice family event,” remarked Mr. Dennis. “It is nostalgic to walk amongst the classic cars around the Square and just enjoy the best of small-town America and see the cars we grew up with.”

There will be vintage cars and trucks, hot rods, and other customized vehicles. “Seeing the care and craftsmanship of the restored entries up close is such a treat for young and old alike,” says Don Mendel, a Lions Club member who is helping organize logistics for the day.

There will be food and beverages available on the Square as well as in the local restaurants. All proceeds from entry fees, sponsorships, T-shirt sales and concessions will help fund the scholarships that the Fayetteville Lions Club awards every year to local students.

The Fayetteville Lions Club has a website for the Classic Car Show that will take your entry (www.fayettevilleclassiccarshow.com) or car owners can register when they arrive. There are awards for the car owners and a great chance to meet car enthusiasts in this part of the State.
